Product Description

Pea Protein Isolate Powder – 5lb

Green Peas for pea proteinPea protein powder is extracted from the yellow pea, Pisum sativum, and is a great alternative to dairy based proteins.

Because it is plant based, it is free of animal products, is dairy-free and gluten free. It is an ideal source of protein for vegans and vegetarians, or those just looking for an alternative to the whey proteins that dominate the market. Mettle Pea Protein is just the pure pea protein isolate, which means that it contains no sweetners or artificial additives. The natural pea flavor can be slightly bitter, so mixing with juices or smoothies is recommended for most pea protein fans.

“Although pea protein powder isn’t currently in the top three, experts foresee it drastically increasing in popularity over the next two years, with a huge surge in health-conscious individuals and an ever-growing desire for plant-based or plant-rich diets. (2) It’s no surprise, considering the amazing makeup of this veggie protein powder! Pea protein powder is among the most hypoallergenic of all protein powders, as it contains no gluten or dairy. It’s also easy on the tummy and doesn’t cause bloating, a common side effect of many other protein powders.

Whether you are allergic or sensitive to gluten or dairy, or you’re simply looking for a healthy, plant-based protein powder, pea protein is one great option! ” Dr. Axe – See 5 more Pea Protein Benefits

Best Bang For You Buck

Best bang for your buck for any pea protein out there. I mix it into my blended smoothies every day, and it serves its purpose; to provide me with a quality protien source. For everyone saying this “doesn’t taste good,” or “it isn’t sweet enough,” you’re missing the point. Also, a tip for helping to mix this into your shakes well – add a neutral-tasting oil (like algae oil) to help dissolve the fat-soluble proteins.

Give it a try

I have been using this product for about a while and I am happy that it is unflavored and does not have an overpowering taste or smell. For the price it isn’t bad and I use a BCAA supplement as I have read that the levels of BCAA is lower than for whey. It is very low in fat and zero cholesterol so worth the try. I also have none of the adverse effects that I have seen with milk based or even soy based types of protein powder. I tried it with a vanilla almond milk and it was fine just using a blender bottle. I believe to get it really smooth an electric blender would be better. I also think you could add it to a smoothie without changing the taste but add enough water as it makes stuff thicken.

This is my first time buying a pea protein powder. I bought it to make my own protein bars. That’s yet to perfect. As far as this powder I do use it with almond milk and 1 pack of stevia to make an appetite surpressing shake and it works well for me. It mixes easy and does not taste bad and I’m not doing anything fancy as I don’t want added calories. If you are looking for more flavor then you can add that just keep in mind that for me less is more so I keep it simple.

Looks identical in texture and color to Pea Protein I’ve purchased in the past. Product was sealed very well and I am well pleased with the quality.

Its plain pea protein. There’s not much to it. Price is right.

Loved that it has 1 ingredient, once I mixed with just water and nothing else I couldn’t get enough. Making smoothies was harder to get down. Just water and now I look forward to it. Favorite protein on market!

Best in my blender

I ordered 4 bags of this and received all 4 bags in one big box on time and without damage. This stuff is adequately priced and comparable to other protein supplements out there. I bought this because I’m vegan and wanted to increase my protein intake because I exercise 5-6 times a week. FYI, this stuff is completely bland, and kind of gritty or thick if you try and blend it using a blender bottle and the little shaker ball. I find its best to use in my blender.
